Digital Proof of Address
Product overview
Digital Proof of Address collects and validates a client's residential address as part of Identity Verification.
You can collect the address from the client or provide it via the API. Fourthline validates the address and checks whether it is in a prohibited country.
Note
Digital Proof of Address does not require Geolocation. You can add Geolocation to your Identity Verification flow if you also want to collect and verify the client's location.
Country requirements
Digital Proof of Address is mandatory in the Netherlands. See Identity Verification solutions for country-specific solutions and module requirements.
Verification checks
Fourthline can perform the following checks on the provided address:
| Check | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Address | Checks whether the address is valid and complete, including the street name, house number, postal code, city, and country, and whether it is a PO box. |  |
| Residential area | Checks whether the address is in a residential area. Addresses that are clearly non-residential are not accepted. | |
| Fraud hot spot | Checks whether the address exactly matches or is near a location known to be associated with financial crime. Human agents investigate flagged addresses. | |
| Prohibited country | Checks whether the address is in a prohibited country. | |
| Supported location | Checks whether the address is in a country that you support. | |
